Joe Page, Piano Instructor:
Piano lessons with me are structured but casual. The majority of my students have been between the ages of 6 and 18, but I have also had experience with very young and adult students of all ages and abilities. I teach jazz, blues, classical, pop, and rock and tailor that to each student’s desires and goals If I don’t know a music style, I will learn it. I give my students ample opportunities to perform in recitals and piano festivals and contests.
I stress music theory and improvisation along with each student’s regular music assignments at a majority of each piano lesson. I believe that though most of my students will not make this their profession, my goal is that they make this a lifetime priority and continue to play all of their lives.
